Visitors to Port Jefferson are delighted by our deep water historic seaport village on Central Suffolk’s North Shore. The panoramic setting features rows of shops and restaurants.
To visit this charming village you don’t even need a car. Located 56 miles east of New York City, the Long Island Railroad takes you right into the Village. If arriving by water the Port Jefferson-Bridgeport Ferry drops you right off in the downtown area just a short walk to the Ransome Inn. If needed, transportation can be arranged.
