To visit this charming village you don’t even need a car.  Located 56 miles east of New York City, the Long Island Railroad takes you right into the Village.  If arriving by water the Port Jefferson-Bridgeport Ferry drops you right off in the downtown area just a short walk to the Ransome Inn. If needed, transportation can be arranged.

		Mather House Museum and Spinney Clock Exhibit Museum 115 Prospect Street. Five building complex featuring ship artifacts, maritime exhibits and period furnishings. Open seasonally and weekends.  Clock museum has approximately 250 clocks.
		Port Jefferson Village Center E. Broadway 802-2160 Open all year, beautiful views of the harbor.  Pleasant sitting area for reading and relaxing.  Special events, on going rotating art and photo exhibits.  Outside ice skating rink from November-March.  Children’s Maritime Museum.
		Harborfront Park E. Broadway, 5 acres of waterfront property consisting of a promenade, 350 foot pier, children’s playground and picnic area, landmark sculpture, Village Center and Chandlery building.
		Martha Jefferson Paddleboat 631-331-333 85-foot Mississippi River paddleboat.  Offers harbor cruises, dinner cruises and catering.
